New Trading Hours and Shop Expansion 0
Those of you who read our blog posts would know that we have recently been exhibiting at the Royal Adelaide Show. Since its completion last Sunday we have been busily expanding and renovating our shop floor space. We have tripled the size of the space and added extra shelving to allow us to bring you a better shopping experience and even more collectables to view. This includes our newly built and soon to be filled wall of Pops!
We have created store prices for standard 3.75" Pop! Vinyl Figures.
1 x $18, 2 x $35, 3 x $45.
We are also excited to announce our new trading hours. Hero Stash will now be open from 12pm-4pm every day Monday-Friday and 10am-3pm on Saturdays. As usual we are often open outside of these hours as well so just look for our open flag out the front or message us on social media.
These new trading hours take effect immediately, hope to see you all soon!
It's Showtime! + Store Update 0
For the first time ever Hero Stash will be exhibiting at this year's Royal Adelaide Show from September 2-11. One of the main reasons we started Hero Stash was to bring Adelaide collectors the coolest, rarest and newest collectables and memorabilia. By exhibiting at events like Comic-Con, Supanova and now the Royal Adelaide Show we get to meet and engage with local collectors and customers. We really get a kick out of seeing the enjoyment on people's faces when they are browsing and sampling our wares. It is also very satisfying to supply someone with a piece that they have been looking for or if we order something specific in for them.
Hero Stash will be operating from Stand 18C in the Market Bazaar (right next to the Showbag hall). We will be there every day of The Show from 9am-9pm and hope to chat to a lot of you there. It all starts this Friday September 2. You will also find us in the official Show Guide on pages 48 and 50. Come and say hi and lets chat about everything geeky!
As we will be operating from The Show, our retail store located in Manningham will be closed during September 2-11. That is disappointing, but to make up for it we would like to announce that we will be re-opening bigger and better than ever once The Show has completed. The floor size of the shop will increase along with the number of products in store. There will be increased store opening hours during the week and exciting news about our upcoming club for awesome specials and freebies. We have lots of expansion plans and will announce them on our blog and social media.
As always we are ready to help so if there is anything you need or have a question, please contact us via email, social media, or phone. We usually answer Facebook messages and emails within minutes.

Darth Vader 1/6 scale figure from Hot Toys unboxing 0
Our first official unboxing of a Hot Toys 1/6 scale figure had to be none other than Lord Vader himself. This collectable figure is based on Darth Vader from Star Wars Ep 4: A New Hope and the likeness is movie-accurate. As with all Hot Toys figures, Vader comes packed in a stunning box with a photographic cardboard insert included. Once you remove the beautiful piece of art you will find Darth Vader and accessories packed snugly and safely away under moulded plastic. Everything about Hot Toys is top notch and the packaging is just as good as you would expect.
Once the top layer of plastic was removed we couldn't say much more other than wow. What was revealed was truly impressive. The detail on the helmet alone is mind blowing and then there is the finely crafted fabric. Vader's cape is made from quality and heavy material. This figure comes packed along with several different hands to choose from, lightsaber and separate lightsaber hilt, plus an Interrogation Droid with its own stand in addition to the figures stand and name plate.
This figure features a light up function in both his lightsaber and belt accessories. In order to use the lightsaber LED you have to switch the right arm and install the included batteries. This is a bit fiddly and it took us a while to get it done, but it was worth the effort as Vader's red lightsaber looks terrific lit up.
An Interrogation Droid is also included with this collectable figure. The Droid has its own stand and all you need to do is fit the included Droid parts to the body. There is also a separate stand for the Droid so it can either be displayed on the same stand as Darth Vader or beside it on its own stand.
So after it was all set up to our satisfaction there was only one thing left to try out, the remote control voice activation! Darth comes with his iconic breathing sound and a few different phrases installed. There is an included Star Wars stand which doubles as a remote control. One click and Vader will breath or say a phrase! Check out the videos on our Facebook page for examples.
The Darth Vader is a serious figure and one that the high end collector would be proud to own. It is simply... "Impressive, most impressive."

Retail Store Opening 0
We are excited to announce that our first ever retail store/collection point will be open in Adelaide from this Saturday the 16th of July 2016. Hero Stash is predominately an online store, but we would like to offer local customers the option to pick up their orders and avoid a shipping charge. We aim to also establish ourselves as a store that will help local collectors get what they are looking for at better than retail prices. Come in and tell us what you collect and what you want and we will do everything in our power to get it for you. All our prices are always cheaper than RRP (Regular Retail Price), even if just slightly.
In preparation for our opening we engaged a local Adelaide artist to airbrush some of our favourite Marvel and Star Wars characters for our new shop signage. She did an amazing job and I am sure you will agree that it is quite a nice sight to see while traveling down Hampstead Road. Since the sign went up last week we have often found ourselves standing out the front just to marvel at the artwork.
Our shop is located at 2/79 Hampstead Rd, Manningham, South Australia. To start with we will be open on Saturdays from 10am-12pm (usually longer) as a set time for collections and walk-ins. In addition to that time we will be open sporadically throughout the week plus you can make an appointment for a convenient time to pick up your order.
We are a small, local business and we are very passionate about all things collectable. Hero Stash was established to help the local collector community get what they want quickly, easily and at fair prices. Come in and say hi. See you on Saturday!

At Hero Stash, we aim to stock high end collectables for the true collectors out there. We specialise in statues and figures and have been mainly stocking Kotobukiya statues until now. Although we love the Kotobukiya range and will still be stocking them in a major way we have now started to add Hot Toys 1:6 scale figures to our product list.
The Hot Toys 1:6 scale figures are for the dedicated collector out there, with the prices being in the several hundred dollar range for most figures. These are highly detailed figures/statues which are based on characters and personalities from pop culture films and TV shows. Hot Toys figures capture the likeness of each character to perfection and each figure is an impressive piece of art.
Not only are they of fine quality and craftsmanship, but most sets come with various body parts and props so that they can be displayed in different ways. They also have varying degrees of articulation to add to the variations of display. At 1:6 scale they also stand around 30cm tall making them a commanding display piece. Like us at Hero Stash, most people simply awe at the quality of geeky coolness of the figures.
In addition to the 1:6 scale figures we will also be stocking some of the Hot Toys Artist Mix range. These are a collaboration with different artists and designs to re-imagine movie characters in a special art form with unique style. Hero Stash has the Ant-Man Artist Mix 3 piece set in stock now. This is a set of 3 Ant-Man bobble heads with an exclusive black-out version only included in this 3 piece set.

Vinyl Idolz - New product line 1
From the company who brought you the iconic Pop! figures comes a line of 8" vinyl figures named Vinyl Idolz. As collectors ourselves we believe Funko is an awesome brand and we love almost everything they produce! We stock a variety of their home wares, T-Shirts, Mystery Mini figures, Wacky Wobblers and Fabrikations. We won't stop there and we have now started to stock the Vinyl Idolz product line.
A few days ago we received our first order of 9 different characters in the Vinyl Idolz series with more to come soon. These figures are for the true collector and are of the typical Funko high quality standard and design.
They are presented in a stylish box with a clear plastic front so the figure can easily be seen. Since the box looks so good it feels wrong to remove the figure! As with most collectors, we find it hard to actually take the figures out of their magnificent display. Each box features the characters name and unique Vinyl Idolz series number on the front along with the logo of the brand the character is known from. On the back there is the same information along with a Polaroid style photo of the figure and a interesting description of the character.
One of the coolest things about the Vinyl Idolz series is that there are lots of characters which have a kult following, but are not so common to find merchandise or figures about. Our favourite so far has to be The Dude from The Big Lebowski. What a great movie and an even better character. We have also bought in 3 characters from arguably the best TV show ever, Seinfeld. Strong mention goes to the Back to the Future Vinyl Idolz and who doesn't love the main man of Marvel himself, Mr. Stan Lee!
