Stan Lee is coming to Adelaide! 0

It's that time of year again, Convention time! Supanova Adelaide is coming to Adelaide next weekend, 17-19 November. Hero Stash will once again be an exhibitor at the event and are really excited to be part of it all again this year. We have grown a lot in a year and have a lot of great collectables ready for our fans. Not only will we be there, but Stan Lee will also be there!

Hero Stash will be operating from booth 2011 for the entire exhibition. Check out the below floor plan to find us and for the layout.




Unfortunately due to exhibiting at Supanova our retail store will be closed on Friday 17 November until Monday 20 November. We will re-open as per usual on Tuesday 21 November. We hope that this does not cause too much inconvenience for our customers and hope to see some you at Supanova.

For those of you who don't know much about Supanova you can check out some more information about the event at www.supanova.com.au. There will be several high profile guests attending who you will have the opportunity to meet and to purchase autographs from or have photos with the stars. The main man himself, Stan the Man, Mr. Stan Lee is coming! We are so excited that the legendary Mr Marvel will be there and for most of us this will be a once in a lifetime opportunity to meet him. If it wasn't for Stan Lee there would be no Hero Stash. Some of the other guests who will be attending are Millie Bobby Brown (Eleven, Stranger Things), James Marsters (Spike, Buffy the Vampire Slayer), Franz Drahmeh (Firestorm, DC Legends of Tomorrow), Brian Herring (BB-8, Star Wars the Force Awakens), plus many more!

Exit the Game - Unboxing & Review 0

Once again we have asked our resident Board Game tester Daniel to un-box and review the escape room game called 'Exit' and here is the result.

Hero Stash offered me once again the opportunity to review another board game, this time it was Exit: The Game. There are 3 'rooms'/versions available now, but we chose 'The Abandoned Cabin' version to play and review.



Now board game is a loose term as this game does not actually have a board, rather each of the Exit games is run with a booklet, a disc and your imagination!

If you’ve ever done an Escape Room or Adventure Room and enjoyed it, well this is a table top, play at home version of those rooms.

The game allows for 1-6 players and is played in around 1-2 hours. It involves a series of riddles and puzzles designed to test your logical and out of the box thinking. Whilst you don’t have the added excitement of being in an actual closed room with things you can pick up and touch and feel, this is clearly the next best thing. Having done an Adventure Room before I actually enjoyed this game significantly as it calls upon a great use of your own imagination, something that we don’t often get to do as adults.

 

The Abandoned Cabin sets the players off on a holiday in which they stumble upon an old abandoned cabin and in an almost Saw like fashion, the players are tasked with a series of puzzles and riddles in order to escape alive. Players must work together to solve the puzzles as quickly as possible in order to escape the cabin. But don’t worry if you find the puzzles too hard, hints can be taken along the way. However each hint you use and the longer you take will be the factors for determining your final score.



I enjoyed this game immensely and if you’re the type that enjoys riddles and puzzles that get your head scratching then this is the type of game for you. I played with 4 players in total and found that it worked really well, whilst the game provides for up to 6 players, I would be hesitant in playing with that many people as it would be hard for everyone to see the material in front of you to solve the puzzles which is really a key factor. The game itself is also a one off use game, which means that once you have played it once you won’t be able to play it again as the game material can be cut up and written on when played, however at the retail price of $25 I’d say that’s a fair price to pay for a good hour of entertainment!

New York Comic Con 2017 Exclusives 1

New York Comic Con is already here again and starts this Friday the 6th of October. This means more Funko Comic Con exclusive collectables! Hero Stash will be stocking all shared New York Comic Con (NYCC) exclusive this year totaling 50 different products, including Pop! Vinyl Figures, Dorbz, Rock Candy & Action Figures.

Barring any shipping delays, we will have NYCC 2017 exclusives available both in store and Online from 11am (SA time) on Friday the 6th of October.

This year there will be a split release of the exclusives nationwide in Australia. Out of the 50 different products, 30 will be available from this Friday & the other 20 will be released after October 13.
This is due to a manufacturing issue that has affected the packaging of the stock and are awaiting replacement packing before their release. This will be the case for all stores and we will be stocking the remaining exclusives as soon as they are released here.

As mentioned we will have 30 different exclusives from this Friday but there are very limited quantities available for some of them. Funko have not told us exactly which exclusives we have been sent yet and are under strict instructions not to reveal any information about them or pre-sell any stock before this Friday.

Hero Stash will have several waves of releases on our website and in store. The first lot of stock will be split between in store and Online and because of the limited numbers on some of them we will be selling 1 per person for some exclusives. We will be re-ordering stock on Friday which we will receive mid-late next week which will include another release of sold out items from this week. When something is sold out on our website we may be getting more stock again so check back often. Once something is completely sold out with no return we will remove it from the site.

Did you know that we also sell rare and uncommon collectables? Our physical store buys second hand collections which we sell in-store. These are 90% Pop! Vinyl Figures and include old vaulted pops, hard to get US imports, stickered exclusives and Funko Store exclusives.

We have now added a new collection to our online store where you can view and buy SOME of the rares we have in our store. We will only sell a select few online and there will always be more available in store than what is listed online.

Some things to remember about our rares/uncommons:

- They are second hand and obtained via in-store trades
- Boxes may not be mint condition and may contain damages which will be listed in the product description
- Buy at your own risk, we cannot physically show you the box when you buy online so it is up to you to read the description and accept any box damage
- No returns or refunds will be accepted, all sales are final
- All 3.75" Pop! Vinyl figures sold online in this category will be shipped in a pop protector
- Prices are subject to change as we are constantly watching the market and prices may go up or down at any time
- All prices include GST

San Diego Comic Con 2017 Exclusives 1

San Diego Comic Con (SDCC) is here! The chaos has begun and we have noticed a lot of people searching our site for this years exclusives. Search results won't find anything just yet, but don't despair they are on the way!

We have ordered a whole bunch of exclusives including Pop! Vinyls, Rock Candy and Dorbz.
Our shipment is expected to arrive mid-late next week and once received we will have them available both online and in store.

We hope that our loyal customers have patience and that we can help as many collectors as possible out there get what they want.
