An Important Update About Acorns Reward Points 0

At Hero Stash, we’re always looking for ways to improve how we reward our most loyal collectors and customers. Over the years, many of you have earned and redeemed Acorns points through our original loyalty program, and we’re incredibly grateful for your support.

But as Hero Stash continues to grow - especially with the expansion into TCGs, retro gaming, and more exclusive collectibles - we’ve introduced a new rewards experience through Stash Club that better aligns with what our community truly values.

What’s Changing

We’ve made the decision to retire the Acorns points program so we can fully focus on building and improving the Stash Club membership.

• The final day to redeem Acorns points is August 31, 2025.

• After this date, any remaining Acorns points will expire and the program will be permanently discontinued.

• Acorns points will no longer be issued on purchases moving forward.

Why We're Making This Change

While the Acorns system offered simple rewards over time, we’ve found that customers get far more ongoing value through Stash Club. Members receive automatic tiered discounts on every order - online and in-store - across all products, including TCGs, Pop Vinyls, retro games, and more.

Unlike Acorns, which were limited to online use only, Stash Club benefits apply no matter how you shop. Add in exclusive early access to product drops, monthly giveaways, and other perks, and it’s clear Stash Club offers a more rewarding and flexible experience for collectors.

Maintaining two separate rewards systems no longer makes sense, and retiring Acorns allows us to focus on one clear, consistent loyalty experience that we can continue to grow and improve over time.

What You Should Do Now

If you have a points balance, we encourage you to redeem your Acorns before the August 31 deadline. If you’re unsure how many points you have, please contact us - we’re happy to check your balance and help you redeem it.

After this date, any unused points will no longer be valid.

A Better Way to Be Rewarded

Stash Club is now the best way to earn value at Hero Stash - whether you’re shopping online or in-store.

With four membership tiers, automatic storewide discounts, and exclusive benefits (like Pokémon preorders, and monthly prizes), Stash Club offers more than just points - it’s a true membership experience.

If you're not already part of it, now’s the perfect time to join and start enjoying the benefits.

We’d like to thank everyone who participated in the Acorns program - your loyalty helped shape what Hero Stash is today. This change is all about continuing to evolve and reward our community in bigger and better ways.

Disney Lorcana TCG - Reign of Jafar Set Championship! 0

Hero Stash is proud to be hosting our first official Disney Lorcana Store Championship for the Reign of Jafar set.

This is your chance to prove your deckbuilding skills, compete for exclusive prizes, and claim the title of Store Champion.

Event Details

• Date: Saturday 19 July 2025

• Time: 11:00am start

• Entry Fee: $30

• Player Cap: 16

• Minimum Players: 8
  Pre-registration is essential due to limited space. You can register through the Ravensburger Play Hub, or contact Hero Stash directly and we can register on your behalf. Please note, payment is taken on the day. Simply responding to the Facebook event does not guarantee a place in the tournament.

Participation Prize

All participants will receive:

• 1x Jafar non-foil promo card

Top 8 Prizing Structure

• 1st Place - 1x Reign of Jafar Trove, 1x Jafar Champion Playmat, 1x Jafar Enchanted Foil Promo Card

• 2nd Place - 6x Reign of Jafar Booster Packs, 1x Jafar Enchanted Foil Promo Card

Tournament Format

• Swiss Rounds: 55 minutes per round, Best-of-Three

• Top Cut Rounds: 70 minutes per round, Best-of-Three, Final is un-timed

• When time is called, five additional turns will be played

Deck Lists Required

All players must submit a deck list to participate. You can either:

• Send your list to Hero Stash before the event

• Or bring a printed copy on the day

We’ve just powered up a new era at Hero Stash - retro gaming is now part of the collection.

Over the weekend, we acquired our very first retro gaming haul: a Super Nintendo Entertainment System (SNES) with a great lineup of games, plus a PlayStation 2 console with some iconic titles from the early 2000s. These classic systems have stood the test of time, and now they’re ready to find a new home in the hands of collectors, players, and nostalgia hunters.

From Super Mario World to Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas, there’s something special about the games we grew up with. Whether you’re looking to relive your childhood, complete your collection, or just fire up a CRT and game the old-school way - you can now do it through Hero Stash.

We Now Buy, Sell & Trade Retro Games - In-Store Only

We’re officially opening up buy/sell/trade for retro gaming in-store. That means you can:

- Sell your old consoles and games directly to us for cash or store credit
- Trade in for TCGs, Pop! Vinyls, or other retro titles
- Buy curated classics from the retro era, tested and ready to play

We’re primarily focused on Nintendo systems (like SNES, Game Boy, Nintendo 64, GameCube) and PlayStation consoles (PS1, PS2,), but we’re open to other platforms too - just bring it in and we’ll take a look.

Why Retro?

Retro gaming fits right into what we do at Hero Stash - nostalgia, collecting, and celebrating the games and franchises that shaped pop culture. The same way people chase shiny Charizards or hunt for vaulted Pop! Vinyls, the hunt for a complete SNES set or that missing PS2 classic is part of the thrill.

And we’re here for it.

Disney Lorcana Organised Play - Mid Season Trove Spectacular - 28 June 2025 0

Disney Lorcana Sealed Event - June 28 at Hero Stash

Join us at Hero Stash on Friday, June 28 at 11:00am for an officially sanctioned Disney Lorcana Sealed Organised Play event.

The entry fee is $75 and each player will receive a sealed Trove containing 8 booster packs. From these packs, you’ll build a 40-card minimum deck to compete in Swiss-style rounds. The Trove set is chosen by the player, in order of registration to the event.
This event follows the official Sealed Format rules:

• No colour restrictions when building your deck

• No limit on how many copies of a single card you may include – if you open 5 copies, you can play all 5

Prizing

• All participants will receive an official Seasonal Promo Card

• The overall winner will take home the exclusive Seasonal Playmat

Round Structure

• Up to 8 players: 3 rounds, 45 minutes each, no top cut

• 9-12 players: 4 rounds, 45 minutes each, then a top cut of 4 players with 55-minute rounds

This is a great chance to play Lorcana in a more casual but competitive setting, test your deckbuilding skills under sealed conditions, and win exclusive OP rewards.

Spots are limited to 12 players. You can pre-register by contacting the store or dropping in to sign up in person.

Exciting news for all Disney Lorcana fans in Adelaide—Hero Stash now hosts weekly Lorcana tournaments every Saturday from 11am! Whether you're a seasoned Illumineer or just starting your journey into the magical realm of Lorcana, our in-store organised play is the perfect way to test your skills, meet fellow players, and enjoy the game in a fun and welcoming environment. New players are always welcome, and we even have store decks available to borrow so you can jump right in and learn to play.

Reign of Jafar Pre-Release – Saturday, 31 May

This Saturday, we’re kicking things off with an epic Pre-Release event for the newest Disney Lorcana set—Reign of Jafar! Be among the first to crack open packs from the new release and experience the magic in a fast-paced, exciting format called Pack Rush. Each player will receive 2 booster packs of Reign of Jafar, use the included promo cards as ink, shuffle the remaining cards, and dive straight into battle. It’s a fun, chaotic way to explore the new set and try out fresh strategies.

The entry fee is just $25, which includes:

• 2 Reign of Jafar packs for play

• 1 bonus Reign of Jafar booster pack

• A promo card or enamel pin just for participating

Whether you're here to play casually or to start climbing the competitive ladder, this is an event you won’t want to miss. Games start at 11am so come in and register just before that.
